On September 13 and 14, 2025, the Electrifly-In took place at Bern Airport in Belp – an event dedicated to electric and other low-emission propulsion technologies in aviation. As the main sponsor, we were present with a stand and were able to experience developments in this field at first hand.
The Electrifly-In is one of the most important events for electric aircraft in Europe. At its core is the question of how flying can be reimagined without conventional fuel – quietly, efficiently and in an environmentally friendly way. Since 2017, the Electrifly-In has brought together pioneers, development teams and aviation experts to exchange experience and make progress visible. At the same time, the event is not limited to specialist audiences: flight demonstrations, exhibitions and talks make these developments tangible for all interested visitors.
Waterjet has supported the Electrifly-In as a sponsor since 2019. The event aligns closely with our own ambitions: precision, innovation and progress drive not only aviation, but also our daily work.
We were present on site with a stand and in active exchange with visitors. The focus was on the machining of a wide range of materials, as well as distortion-free and material-friendly manufacturing – areas in which waterjet cutting demonstrates its strengths.
A particular highlight for our team: several employees had the opportunity to fly in an electrically powered aircraft. This made the technology immediately tangible – a quiet, smooth and technically convincing flight, and a moment that will be remembered.
The event fostered open exchange and many inspiring encounters, and showed how ideas are gradually transformed into real-world applications.
