My team and I have a great deal of freedom to develop individual solutions for demanding customer projects.
In my area, we work with highly precise parts. Some are tiny – the smallest are just 1 mm in size. Different requirements, techniques and materials, teamwork and customer interaction: I love this daily challenge. My tasks require strong technical understanding, the ability to see connections and good spatial reasoning. Most important, however, is a team I can rely on – and that’s exactly what I have here.
We work with passion, always focused on the goal. At Waterjet, collaboration between us and our customers is very close. We do everything we can to find solutions. I started at Waterjet in 2004 as a CNC operator. Today, I lead a team of five employees. Waterjet supported me along the way, giving me more and more responsibility and allowing me to grow professionally. A huge opportunity. And it’s not just me – the fact that many colleagues have been here for so long speaks for the company, doesn’t it?
I love leading by example, guiding and motivating my team. The goal is always the same: completing our tasks on time and in perfect quality. Together, we give our best for the company’s success.

In research and development, I can use my creativity, contribute my own ideas and work independently on projects.
I rejoined Waterjet at the beginning of 2025 after having previously worked here for nine years. I gained experience at other companies before realizing that I wanted to return.
As an experimental technician in research and development, I can fully apply my technical understanding and creativity. At the same time, the role requires persistence. Our goal is to continuously improve waterjet cutting – making it even more precise, efficient and material friendly. We also constantly explore new applications for our technology.
Innovative, even groundbreaking results are only possible because initiative is truly encouraged at Waterjet. We are supported in taking an active role. We are given the freedom to try new things – and everything needed for that: state-of-the-art systems, the right materials, and strong support from management and other teams.
An important aspect for me is the ability to openly discuss challenges. Not everything works on the first try – that’s the nature of development. But it is all the more satisfying when we make progress. For example, we can now cut glass in the micrometer range with unprecedented precision. A great feeling. I am happy to be part of Waterjet and the team again.
