COMPOSITE MATERIALS

Precise waterjet cutting for composite materials

Whether carbon- or glass-fiber-reinforced plastics or sandwich panels – our technology cuts composite materials cleanly, without delamination and with no thermal effect. The result: function-ready components with smooth cutting edges.

Why waterjet cutting excels with composite materials

Delamination-free cutting

No layer separation or fiber damage – even in CFRP and GFRP.

No thermal effect

Fibers remain stable and the materials unchanged.

Complex contours possible

Even in sandwich panels and demanding fiber composites, we cut complex contours precisely and cleanly.

Manufacturing process

Drawing

Technical CAD drawing of a drone component made from carbon prepreg

Contour with fine cut-outs and a tight tolerance requirement of ± 0.05 mm – high stability requirements in lightweight construction.

Cutting process

Low-pressure piercing by pre-drilling to prevent delamination, followed by a precision cut (edge quality N7).
